Looking to rent out your home for Jazzfest, Mardi Gras, or any time of the year through AirBnB or other services? The New Orleans city council is looking into limiting your ability to do that. If you have a home in the city of New Orleans, you may soon be limited in your ability to rent your home or apartment.
The proposal put forth by mayor-elect Cantrell will allow two short-term rentals per property in the two zoning designations and make expansion of the practice into additional units subject to council approval. This is a limited restriction, but opponents see this as potentially a start into more widespread limitations on short term New Orleans rentals.
