About St John the Baptist Parish

Known as “The Andouille Capital of the World,” St. John Parish is a small community that has so much to offer to visitors and residents. As the 3^rd permanent settlement in Louisiana, history abounds, including plantations like Evergreen and San Francisco. There are also swamp tours and numerous festivals throughout the year. With the Mississippi River splitting the parish, there are several industrial areas along the river. Residents here enjoy a quiet life but are still part of Louisiana’s culture and fun.
